Responsibilities

As MTSI's F-35 ASR Requirements Analyst you will join our team of professional engineers providing F-35 Lightening II Joint Program Office with contract support services and specialized technical and engineering integration services for the multi-national program in support of the Follow-on Development, the Low Rate Initial and Full Rate Production, as well as the sustainment engineering efforts.  The ASR Requirements Analyst is responsible for providing program management, system engineering, technical, and analysis services enhancing F-35 Concept of Operations (CONOPS) and requirements development.   The specific areas of responsibility include requirements development, analysis, and definition; Service, Joint, and Coalition CONOPS development and analysis; subject matter expertise in tactical aviation to include integration of sensors and Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) systems and conventional weapons support.  This position will be located in Crystal City, VA.

 

Your essential job function will include but may not be limited to:

  • Providing engineering and technical support to the Directorates, Functional, and Integrated Product Teams consisting of Systems Engineering, Program Control, International/Foreign Military Sales, Development, Production, Sustainment, Air Vehicle, Mission Systems, Propulsion, Prognostic Health Management, and Integrated Test Force Teams including total lifecycle technical management through development, test and evaluation, production, operations and sustainment of the F-35 Air System.
  • Coordinate current and future conventional weapons requirements with the Weapons IPT, Services, and Partner Nations
  • Lead F-35 Joint Program Office focal point for all weapons related requirements
  • Process Draft Statements of Requirements (DSOR) from receipt into the governance process
  • Close working relations with Services and Partners to assist with any emerging issues or connection to correct JPO POC

Qualifications

MTSI is seeking candidates possessing some or all of the following qualifications:

  • 10+ years' of experience in an engineering or technical position.
  • 8+ years' of operational flight experience (4th generation U.S. strike/fighter aircraft) integrating air-to-ground forces.
  • Major staff or program office experience.
  • Requirements development experience.
  • Knowledge and expertise in Network Centric Warfare.
  • Knowledge and experience in Joint and Coalition operations experience with CONOPS development and analysis.
  • Familiarization with Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS).

Education Requirements:

Master’s Degree in engineering or science or a (B.S. degree in engineer or science and an additional four (4) years of experience).

Clearance Requirements:
Top Secret Clearance with SAR and SCI eligibility.
