MTSI requires an electronic systems architect with modern computer systems architecture and engineering experience who can lead a team of architects and engineers composed of various disciplines.

This individual will provide technical guidance to support the architectural development of next generation avionics and mission systems with an emphasis on networking, infrastructure, virtualization, integration and agile software architecture and development.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead development and communication of roadmaps for programs and associated technologies and product lines
  • Lead and advise engineering managers, program managers, business development managers, product line managers, and component architects
  • Establish trusted and influential relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Serve as the primary technology and systems engineering focal point for leadership and the customer for avionics and mission systems


Basic Qualifications (Required):

• Expert in systems engineering and open systems architectures
• Familiar with cutting edge commercial embedded computer processor hardware and accelerators as well as various data processing methods.
• Working understanding of modern data parsing methods and high bandwidth data handling
• Have a working knowledge of DoD’s Open Mission Systems (OMS)
• Experience with aircraft level system integration
• Broad and deep background in Avionics computing programs, products, and underlying technologies
• Experience with avionics system architecture development, and systems, software, and hardware engineering.
• Experience with Avionics regulatory and certification requirements: TSO, DO-160, DO254, DO178B/C, and ARP4754
• Ability to travel domestically (up to 40% of time)

• Ability to obtain US DoD security clearance
