We are looking for Scientists/Engineers to join a high performing and dynamic team supporting the development of high-fidelity physics-based models/simulations, sensor data collection and analysis, and other hardware testing/analysis to anchor system and phenomenology models/simulations.

Job Description:

Candidate will work collaboratively with a team to assist in developing physics-based models/simulations, executing hardware tests/data collects, and applying data analysis to verify the performance of models. Models/simulations will address photonics/optics phenomenology and applications for lasers, sensors/detectors, and light-material interactions.  Testing activities include design and implementation of laboratory-based and/or field-based setups for characterizing sensors and laser systems, evaluating/testing prototype hardware performance, and/or investigating relevant optical phenomena.

Other tasks may include concept and requirements development, design trades, independent performance assessment, and post-test data analysis.


Required Skills/Experience:

  • Laser Phenomenology
  • Laser Technology
  • Sensor Technology
  • Modeling Laser System and Subsystems in DoD Applications.
  • Electro-optical and Infrared (EO/IR) Algorithm Development.
  • Matlab, Simulink, C, C++, Python Programming.
  • Setup and Operation of Optics/Physics Laboratory Equipment.
  • BS in Engineering or Physics with 10+ years , or MS with 5+ years, or PhD with 2-3 years

Clearance Requirements:

An active secret clearance is required.
