We are seeking a Scientist/Engineer to join a high performing and dynamic team supporting an MDA research program developing next generation sensors and automated target characterization algorithms for Ballistic Missile Defense. The team is currently addressing the development and test of novel airborne and ground-based sensor systems, along with data collection, data exploitation, and simulation and modeling efforts for various applications. The goals of these efforts range from laboratory demonstrations to development of field-deployable systems.
Candidate will work collaboratively in a team to assist in developing of robust algorithms for target discrimination, scene and event characterization, learning and estimation, sensor-to-sensor handover, and sensor signal and image processing. As part of such development, candidate will participate with pre-mission sensor HW calibration and analysis as well as conduct post-test assessment of sensor and algorithm performance. Candidate will be expected to interface with FFRDC and industry partners and sponsors, and to work productively in a team environment.
An active secret clearance is required.
