The Lethality Program Management Engineer candidate will provide and direct the lethality Analysis and Testing in support of MDA hypersonic defense program

  • Technical ability to review and produce Lethality Engineering documents. Regular and valuable interaction with the customer will include; emails, VTC and face-to-face meetings, status updates, TIMs, briefings and other contractual requirements.
  • Self-motivated, possess strong oral and written communication skills, and have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, technically advanced, team environment.
  • Provide coordination with DOE Labs, Industry and Impact Test Facilities for conducting Hydrocode analysis and phenomenology studies to address lethality M&S data gaps and lethality criteria development
  • Develop schedule and track tasking for product development across lethality analysis and test performers
  • Interface with program managers and Prime contractors to insure lethality activities are supporting product development
  • Utilize skills and experience to schedule meetings, provide meeting minutes, service action items and brief leadership
  • Prepare technical and position papers, engineering briefs, and technical materials such as analysis, assessments, and reports
  • Engage in lethality analysis of integrated capabilities and assist with supporting new concepts


  • BS (minimum) MS (desired) degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, or Physics/Math
  • Candidate shall have a technical background and the ability to understand basic missile systems. Experience with Lethality Assessments, Hit Assessment/Kill Assessment, and Consequences of Engagement/Consequence Management is preferred. A candidate with current Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and hypersonic defense systems (HD) experience is a plus.
  • Highly Desirable Skills: Experience with current Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Missile Defense System characteristics, design, and performance.  Experience with Threat and Lethality programs. Experience with Windows-based PC software (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel).


  • A security clearance, minimum secret, is required for this position.
