Responsibilities

MTSI is seeking an Engineer – Missile Defense Test Planning & Analysis to assist with system, component (Element) and general test strategic planning and design, which includes development and sustainment of the Missile Defense Agency’s (MDA) Integrated Master Test Plan (IMTP) and its Special Access Program (SAP) appendix.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present test and evaluation concepts, strategies, plans, and briefings.
  • Support BMDS test requirements and objectives development process including trace to system level assessment requirements and element program priorities, development of threat representative test scenario design and modeling, feasibility analysis to guide development of test scenarios, development of target system solutions to meet test requirements, analysis of test design to satisfy test requirements and objectives, and support of test working groups and Test Directorate committee efforts.
  • Proactively engage in the successful strategic planning of program events, using initiative and forethought based on organizational priorities and mission areas.
  • Execute activities with technical accuracy, responsiveness, timeliness, and quality for strategic planning of events in compliance with MDA BMDS test policy and Department of Defense (DOD) policy, procedures, codes, regulations, and standard operation procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field
  • 5 years' experience; 3 years' experience in missile defense systems engineering, testing, or similar experience on related systems.

  • Secret Clearance
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated ability to develop briefing packages for a senior (O-6, GS-15) level audience
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and adapt to dynamic task priorities and short deadlines

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering or related technical field
  • 10 or more years’ experience performing responsibilities listed above
  • Top Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility
  • Experience working with the Missile Defense Agency
  • Large organization headquarters staff experience
  • Demonstrated ability to develop briefing packages for an executive (Flag or SES) level audience

Travel Requirements: Travel to other sites in the U.S. may be required. Should not exceed 20% annually.
