Support the Future Attack Reconnaissance Aircraft (FARA) Program Manager with all aspects of developing and designing aircraft survivability:
Provide subject matter expertise in theory, design, development, integration test, and training of aircraft survivability equipment.
Provide advisory services including, but not limited to, decision support analysis, independent assessments of technical issues, review of acquisition strategies; analysis of requirements definition, documentation, and validation.
Translate indistinct stakeholder requirements to precise contractual specifications and deliverables.
Provide subject matter expertise in aircraft radio frequency (RF) signature management, countermeasures, and expendables.
Provide subject matter expertise in aircraft infra-red (IR) signature management, countermeasures, and expendables.
Provide subject matter expertise in aircraft acoustic and visual signature management and remedies; ballistic and non-ballistic vulnerabilities and protection to include directed energy, laser, CYBER, and CBRN.
Assist with determination of aircraft holistic survivability effectiveness, cost, suitability, and maintainability.
Manage and support survivability IPTs and working groups. Document discussion, decisions, and rationale.
Attend vendor technical interchange meetings, design working group meetings, technical review boards, safety review boards, and meetings for air worthiness requirements.
Assist with proposal evaluation, prioritization of trade space, analysis of alternatives and course of action development.
Develop executive level informational and decisional briefings.
This expert must have a working knowledge of currently fielded and developmental DoD survivability systems specifically Army related aircraft systems.
A working knowledge of the Army's rotary wing fleet of aircraft and their associate survivability systems is highly desirable.
Prior experience with integrating and testing aircraft survivability systems is required.
