Responsibilities

MTSI is seeking an analysis engineer with 10+ years’ modeling and simulation experience to provide simulation expertise for weapon systems development and prototype production and testing. The person in this position will support development of a modeling and simulation framework, assist with tool development, perform data acquisition, conduct extensive analysis, and assist with model development.

Well funded position on a prime contract supporting the Missile Defense Agency.

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience supporting modeling and simulation engineering for development of weapon systems.
  • Previously supported a major defense acquisition program in a high-visibility environment with mission-critical responsibilities.
  • Extensive knowledge of missile systems design and engineering.
  • Capability to perform analysis to measure key system performance metrics and verify model behavior utilizing flight test data.
  • Experience developing briefings and presenting analysis results to high-level. government customers to help them in their decision-making processes.
  • Capability to assume a leadership role during system requirements reviews, preliminary design reviews and other types of technical meetings.
  • Proven ability to author various types of project documentation.
  • Willingness to mentor and provide advice to less experienced staff members.
  • Master of Science in a technical discipline (i.e. engineering, mathematics, physics).

Desired Qualifications:

  • Domain knowledge of EO/IR system modeling and simulation highly desired.
  • Proven ability to perform hi-fidelity operational system and model analysis in order to quantify weapons systems effectiveness.
  • Knowledge and experience with 3-DOF and 6-DOF tool development.
  • Experience using model-based systems engineering tools to convey architectural and technical concepts.
  • Experience verifying and validating simulations and models utilizing test flight data.

Clearance Requirements:

An active secret clearance is required.
