As a Senior Cyber Security Engineer with MTSI you will develop, coordinate and execute policies, methods and procedures for a DAF customer as well as joint projects with the Missile Defense Agency. Oversee the performance of day-to-day operational support of those systems. Conduct and manage the building, patching, testing (check for compatibility issues, conducts QA) and deployment of systems and platforms meeting mission partners’ needs and specifications.
Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:
Develop and manage setup of Secured Local Area Networks and Cross Domain Solution (CDS) architectures with connectivity between ground, airborne and satellite communication capabilities
Support Interim Authorities to Test (IATT), Authorities to Connect (ATC), and Authorities to Operate (ATO) activities as necessary
Supervise, plan and implement changes with the goal of enhancing performance. Manage and oversee the storage and server data backup, data migration and disaster recovery operations. Administer software and operating system upgrades and track system licensing. Direct the configuration of security settings and access permissions for groups and individuals
Manage and facilitate the cyber security and approval process related to systems/networks software and hardware for the internal and associated projects. Evaluate and recommend new technologies, optimize operational efficiency, and troubleshoot problems arising in the infrastructure environments. Manage the deployment. Architect, design, implement, maintain, and operate information system security controls and countermeasures
Analyze and recommend security controls and procedures in acquisition, development, and change management life-cycle of information systems for internal and joint projects. Monitor these systems for compliance
Respond to information system security incidents, including investigation of, countermeasures to, and recovery from computer-based attacks, unauthorized access, and policy breaches; interacts and coordinates with third-party incident responders, including law enforcement
Monitor trends, news and changes in threat and compliance environment with respect to organizational risk; advise organization management and develop/execute plans for compliance and mitigation of risk; perform risk and compliance self-assessments; engage/coordinate third-party risk and compliance assessments. Evaluate and develop information security governance, including organizational policies, procedures, standards, baselines and guidelines with respect to information security and use and operation of information systems
Serve as the COMSEC Responsible Officer (CRO) to ensure all COMSEC and all associated Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) is safeguarded and controlled according to the requirements of the applicable DoD agency, and associated specialized COMSEC publications and operational security doctrine for the associated COMSEC equipment or system(s)
