Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking a Network Engineer to support the US Space Force Space Systems Command Rapid Reaction Branch.  The Network Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing networking architecture to support secure remote development from multiple locations located in Colorado Springs, CO.

As a Network Engineer with MTSI, you will design and implement networking architecture to support secure remote development from multiple locations located in Colorado Springs, CO.

Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:

• Procure and configure networking components.
• Design, engineer, and maintain a baseline network architecture.
• Interact with technical team members from multiple organizations in a team environment.
• Maintain systems and documentation as needed for audits and compliance.

• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Linux system and network administration.
• Experience with network architecture and design, network management, monitoring and protection, network infrastructure development.
• Deep understanding in the theory and implementation of network routing and transport protocols, systems, and standards with the ability to derive operational implications.
• Knowledge of IP network transport & security: CCNA and Network or Security + preferred.
• Familiarity with Cloud Architectures.
• Demonstrated ability to complete tasks, drive projects to closure, assimilate and correlate project information in a fast-paced environment and incorporate them into coherent test strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to shift from one project to another in a dynamic work environment.
• Ability to communicate technical approaches and details within small project teams, including team interaction and presentations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.

• This position will require overnight travel up to 10% of the time.
• Trip durations may range from overnight to several weeks.
